I am pretty much against any type of unnecessary surgery (especially for something as sensitive/important/precious as the eyes).
LASIK has serious complications so it’s not something I ever seriously considered, especially after I:
(1) noticed a newspaper article on a LASIK surgeon smiling and posing next to the machine, while he was wearing glasses (I don’t know if that’s more twisted or ironic),
(2) read/heard about many people still needing glasses/contacts after their original LASIK surgery.
